ISSEY MIYAKE: MEN’S RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS FILM
Issey designed the gymnasts outfits for this uplifting 38 minute performance by Aomori University – ‘Flying Bodies, Soaring Spirits’. At the start, we’re soothed into a state of calm by a lovely silky cloud, which settles to reveal the boys in blue. The show picks up the pace – With lots of more outfit changes, each as beautiful as the last. The floor is lit with shapes which move with the men. The colours are so nice. Hypnotising. Time for the coffee run.
